To all, I had been playing around with a few ideas and they all seem to be working, so here are the results. I got one of the first set of CAC beadlocks for the Slash, but no tires. I recently purchased a set of Dirt Works tires for my sons XXX-T for grass running and forgot they were 2.2's, so I test fitted one to my beadlocks. I liked it so much, I purchased a set for myself for bashing. Here are the pics. As you can see, the tires and wheels fit underneath the body. I do like the look, and since they're beadlocks, I also purchased a set of M3 bowties and Losi directional ribbed silvers for the track! The other idea was drilling mounting holes into my rear RPM arms to mount the shocks in the correct orientation. Here are the pictures... So far, I've jumped my slash a fair amount off my children's skateboard ramps and haven't broken anything yet. This includes the typical rough landing/tumble/end-over-end and rollovers associated with bashing, and so far, so good. Of course, only do this mod if you don't mind voiding the RPM warranty. And my finished (for now) shots.

Probably, but not enough for me to trim the body or tape it up. They are the same height overall (because the tires are "squeezed" together, but of course, they're significantly wider. The wheels help keep the tires under the body, unlike the other beadlocks that are wider.

dion, wow that looks great and is a great tire/wheel combo. now get some action pictures of your slash. I will try, but since my other two possible drivers are my son (six), and my father (68), I will probably use my son to jump it while I take the shots...LOL. Wow dirt works are a great fit! Yes, I was surprised how well it came out. Now I need to slap on my Bowties and ribbed tires to see how those look and perform. are those rims the same width of the stock ones? Yes, they're approximately the same width. There are a couple of pictures somewhere on this site. From this thread... slashracer.proboards80.com/index.cgi?board=cac&action=display&thread=173

Awesome pics Dion, I love how those Dirtworks look on the Slash. I need to get a set for myself. Thanks, I'm a very amatuerish photographer. I love the way the tires look too. i just got a set of those tires for my slash. they are on rmp revolvers though. I was thinking about getting the Proline Eightshooter beadlocks, but they're only 1.2" wide from what I read.

i am lookin at those too but do you think they will fit right? They will fit. but they are narrow. I'm thinking about buying a pair to test the waters. They accomodate a 12mm hex hub.
