well with everyone running spec its not easy to jump on it, but once the sc10 comes out and we see where the slash stands against it then i might get one. it does look cool tho

To me, $85 dollars seems a little to high for a under $200 truck, but that could be just me.

Yeah but you have to remember $200 gets you entry level. Its no different then upgrading the crappy shocks, wheels and tires, etc that it comes with. You have to pay to play! (And in this case not much IMHO)

Really $15 would keep you from buying it?

Looks like a nice simple design. Completely agree with the spec classes as that is mostly what is out there.
I have a feeling if I end up keeping mine it will probably stay stock as I have plans on picking up a SC10.

Our original Outlaw chassis for the Stampede sold for $75 in G10 and $125 in Carbon Fiber. That was even a cheaper truck and we sold a bunch of those. A lot more thought went into this design that I think should warrent an extra 10.

Hi All: This should help you all understand the battery mount system that we designed into the new OUTLAW-02. This is just one of the many new ideas that we added into the design. This kit uses four (4) L-shaped battery corner stops that bolt down to the floor of the chassis. They can be positioned to fit any 6 / 7 or 8 cell battery pack. Also Note: The battery mount post can trade places with the battery mount bulkhead to achieve a weight bias change as well. We tried to think of everything that todays racer could want or need. As for the issue of the price tag. Please remember that the this is the introductory price & as with all things in this world, this price will change. Thank you again, Darren Grillo

Seems like a good design for not a spec class (which most classes around here are) and with the batteries being down low will really help the center or gravity. My only concern would be if not running a LiPo getting all of the dirt out of the batteries after running. Th etrack I ran at last year watered it down for teh Slashes so we would get a little more traction. And the last race of the year we were pulling mud out all oer the place between heats.
Price doesn't seem that bad as I know what G10 costs as I run it in my 1:1 race car. Just not sure how thick this is. And just look at how much chassis cost in the Mini vehicles.
Just have to wonder how the SC10 will be ran in what classes and if mod will this help to compete against them.

Yeah but you know what, when the SC10 hits the shelves, then watch everyone is going to change the rules for spec class and this chassis will be allowed since it will allow the 2 trucks to be competitive.

Really $15 would keep you from buying it? Yeah, it is when I am on a tight budget.
