Yeah but you know what, when the SC10 hits the shelves, then watch everyone is going to change the rules for spec class and this chassis will be allowed since it will allow the 2 trucks to be competitive. That would be great. I'm not cutting the product down or the price, defending it actually, the only down side I seen was getting mud out of the battery and I could just imagine that as I went through cleaning caked mud out and that was just watering down the track just have that pic in my head from last year not fun. But I don't see any better way than this was done either, so its all good.

This new chassis is sweet with the low cg and i'm sure it will make the slash handle tons better and honestly if i was the guy wanting to get the most out of my slash performance wise i would buy it in a heart beat.I dont see any issue with the battery hold down design, from the pics it looks very secure and with the servo being more centered and your choice where you would install your electrics makes all that more balanced of a truck. But me,im the type of guy to leave the slash as is and is what turned me onto it,the way it leans and rolls and dives into turns and working with the stock set-up without aftermarket parts makes it that much more fun trying to beat the guy next to you with a stock slash also.If i was going to get serious about racing in a probably new class when the new sc10 comes out and possibly losi's version i would just buy which ever truck is best.I'm not biased towards any manufacturer.i just love and support this hobby we all do and have been rc'ing since my first woolco brand firefox, tyco 911porche,first hobby grade tamiya jeep wild willy, losi jr,t.losi lxt,ae RC10L,18t and R,HPI sprint2,hot bodies cyclone, and of course the traxxas slash my favorite so far.Just waiting now for someone to come out with a 1/8 scale brushless rtr corr truck.

I'll be buying one! We have a mod class thats growing slowly and I thought the SC10 is four wheel? Is it a B4 or a T4? If its a 4WL and not a 2WL then they should be separated! Pro4 and Pro2 or even a Class 1 and Trophy. Some of us are even trying to get a 8hr or more race, on a multi surface track.

Just a heads up on one more question that has been asked on other boards. Mounting holes included for stock Traxxas XL5 , VXL-3c , Novak Super Duty or HV ESCs Others can be mounted with servo tape or Velcro. Thunder Tech Racing [glow=red,2,300]The first name in Short Coarse Off-Road R/C[/glow]

just to see how the slash would handle if it were lowered,i tied some zip ties around both shock towers and the camber links to both a-arms and zip-tied to desired ride height,it didnt roll over at all, even at full speed and cranking on the turning,it just slid out instead,of course by lowering it that way also stiffened up the shocks.

I'm thinking more and more about this chassis and it would be even better for the aftermarket crowd if the supplied hardware were hexes instead of phillips screws.

Well, it is official. Demand will most likely exceeded supply. Due to a backorder of G-10, we may not be able to deliver chassis for 10 to 14 days once the material that we have in stock is gone.
We expect to sell out of kits before we can repair the supply chain issue. Those of you who must have kits ASAP, please order at once or you too will be waiting in line. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
Thank you for your time.

I am a track owner and I disagree .I think that the slash will have its own class ( SPEC) . The Slash with the outlaw kit and sc10 will be in a Corr truck mod class .I will be racing both classes and thank you to these three companies for giving us something that resembles a real race truck.

They are actually working on a Slash specific stainless kit that includes the screws needed for this chassis as well. Best of both worlds! ;D

After catching a rock at the rear skid plate area( if you would call it that since it is open to catch stuff), and ripped the whole rear end out, I see the smooth chassis bottom is just as large an improvement as the lower weight distribution. Great job!
