The body is hideous, but the solid rear axles is cool. I think people are going to be paying alot for something that doesnt perform even close to the slash. Its the scale part of it though. I want it. It looks like they are now using a MIP AX-10 rear driveshaft setup. And there's always other choices for bodies.

I agree that the body could get high marks on the f-ugly scale[/i] .... (eye of the beholder kinda thing)..... but I don't think the point of the project was ever to be a full-out race truck as we've grown to expect over the last 15 years - otherwise it would have full independent suspension, wheels hanging out of the body, one big slab of a chassis plate that doesn't reflect what's really being raced in the real world - but instead it's to look more realistically like the real thing. These guys were the first to coin the new class (OK, retread the class) back at the Chicago Toy/Hobby Fair (I think) almost a couple of years ago - and were the hit of the show - and it's everyone else that's jumped on the scaleRCracer bandwagon. They are about the only one that has a truely unique vehicle, and not something that's a rebodied/re-tired version of something else pre-existing in the stable (can you say Slash, DT, etc. ?) that's no longer selling. Of course they can't compete side-by-side on the track with the Slash, but the Slash (ack, err, um... Rustler) can't hold it's own against the Losi Desert Truck (XXX-T). Am I gonna get one? Absolutely. Am I gonna replace the body? Sure, probably, but only because the ABS will make it top heavy. Will it being different keep me from running it on the track? Not a chance. Everything has it's place, and if anything this definately has much more to it in the way of scale-realism cool-factor than anything else I've seen as yet.

Link and pics are working for me.
I am really excited by this truck, would love to watch that rear axle droop down as it flies through the air! That's half the fun of watching CORR racing, is watching the suspension do its thing.

The solid rear axle is cool, but nothing else on that truck appeals to me.
And $500 for the kit? I hope that is a joke, I wouldn't pay that.

it clearly says on the website $385 Still wouldn't pay $385 for something that has only one good thing that I like, the solid rear axle. so you'd pay 200 bucks for a rebadged Rustler, but you won't pay another 185 for a completely new specialty vehicle? to each his own, but don't use these threads to bash the manufacturers - it's very un-cool
