Can your batterys handle the sidewinder?? I'd say if its a decent brand and over 3600mah it should be good but if not it could be the amp draw is over drawing your batts and shuting down the reciever.

i am running the exact same system and had the exact problem. i added the capacitor and it still happened. so i called castle and they told me i had to run a higher quality battery. i was running a venom, they said that almost every time they receive a tech call with that problem the person is running a cheap battery. i bought a maxamps lipo and it works great now.

some good info in here concerning the glitch....Im still fighting mine but havent thrown in the towel just yet, just saving for a LiPo I guess because my Trinity 4600 7 cell is said to not be a quality enough battery.
I am very pleased at the battery itself in stock trucks as we have 6 slashs in the family right now and every one who throws my 7 cell in theirs loves the oerformance........good enough for stock trucks but I guess not for high powered brushless.
For the record the trucks glitches are just like you guys have posted........always turning right,at times un controllable just a fedw feet from you and sometimes not......never consistant on the distance but always consistant on the glitching while trying to accelerate and steering.
A few emails rto Castle have helped but I still have yet to have a perfect run from the truck since adding the brushless 5700 with around 8 battery oacks run through it.
I did start a thread about this not a few weks ago.

Dont get the beadlocks, unless they are the new pre mounted ones. They stink.as far as getting mounted and true. They do have great grip but will spit a bead often if you run brushless.Get a radio. You will be much happier..I have the exact problem now with a friends slash.Running stock controller.Plug in my 2.4 and no problem

Yes,I had the exact same problem with the stock transmitter and castle esc!.Plugged in a spectrum 2.4 and problem solved.Only the vxl esc with the vxl motor will run with the stock transmitter.(I have them both-castle and vxl esc)The castle esc is great with this one exception. You will be much happier once you go 2.4ghz.

Well guys,I got a LiPo 4000 2s Integy and installed it after a charge.........still glitched HARD just like before. So again back to the steering servo theory.......swapped in an old stock Futaba I had and bingo no more glitch. I had swapped steering servos around already to no avail but I guess I found that the Futaba servo Im usin gthis time is the one to solve my issues.m now very proud of my Castle Sidewinder and the performance it has no wwith no glitch and also the new Lipo. I am gonna throw back in my 7 cell and just see what it does but can tell you now after 2 charged lipos run through it I now need new rear tires.
The truck with 16/90 gears will wheelie very easily on take off and also on a medium punch with a full punch 10-20 ft out. I am gonna experiment more on gear ratios as I tried a 23/86 anf the motor and controller were getting really hot.
So now ita off for some play time.
Thanks a TON for all the suggestions and all the help as the issue is finally fixed. Much appreciation for the local Hobby Town, local racers, forum members and also Castle tech line for not making me feel like a dummy and believing my problem did exist.........now I can go enjoy my New found power from the brushless and lipo.
