I tried the Novak Glitch-Bust on my vxl system and it made things worst,I also tried zip tieing all of my wire's,that made no noticeable improvement,,what is working for me,is gearing,I've been gearing down and each time,I have noticed big difference,,,Try going down 4t on you're pinion and see if that helps,,I was at 23/83 when I first put the vxl in,I'm now at 19/90 and am pretty happy

The sidewinder has had problems like what you described. Call Castle and send it to them. They are quite good and fast with the turn a round. We have had 3 of them, 2 had problems on am radios. Castle sent us new ones and we didn't have anymore problems. As for a new radio, you can pick up a mini lst2 or ramminator or even a slider with the 2.4 spec radio. Then you have a new car and an upgraded radio!! But however you get a radio it is well worth the money for a 2.4.

What size capacitor would I be looking for? How would I install it? Where would I buy it from?
The Speed control is only a Sidewinder so no CastleLink.
I also hooked up the system in my friends truck. Farther away from the reciever it seemed to help but still a bit of glitcheness coming from the esc. Doesn't screen (like screen from a door) block radio transmissions? What if I sort of wrapped my esc in it.
Thank you guys for being helpful.

If there is an issue with the ESC, Putting off sending it in will just delay the problem. I would just send it in & get it over with. Like raynmaker said, they are very good to deal with.

I doubt a capacitor is your problem usually only touring cars that pull high amp loads out of the corners or 1/12th scale running on only 4 cells need to use one. Send it in, have them check it and fix it if needed.

You can use a castle link! It has to be the one that they use on the 1/18 scale brushless. It hooks up thru the connector that plugs into the receiver.
Using screen or aluminum foil only masks the problem and might cause it to run away from you. That and it looks well, bad!
Send it in. They are great guys to deal with.

You're more likley having a ESC glitch problem, not a receiver problem - though it may still have something to do with the cheap stock TQ radio. www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXNRE0Just get this Novak GlitchBuster. 10-buck cheap fix. I've know of quite a few folks on other boards that have had the issue, and this fixed it.

yea, it's much better spending weeks throwing band-aids at the problem.Instead of fixing it.

Also If you move the ESC onto the chassis beside the og mounting position and use velcro to secure it then wind the wires real tight it helps alot. I did that to mine today.

Thank you guys for being helpful. get the castle link, it plugs inline between the esc and throttle on the reciever, you install the program in your computer and you'll be able to program it youself and they also have updates at castle you can use, so try it first, i paid 25$ for mine
