Rockstar chassis
The new rockstar chassis from CKRC is just what you need to get that AX-10 to the winners circle. This is a top of the line competition chassis built to perform!
The final chassis is the result of testing multiple designs (8) over the last few months. Our goal was to design a chassis that gained performance in all the crucial areas, without having to sacrifice performance in others.
Examples:
Most high clearance belly chassis = High center of gravity, bad geometry and no flex.
Most Super narrow chassis = Transmission hangs way out the sides in the rocks, limited flex.
One major performance gain is a 3/4" narrower chassis. After building several chassis that were narrower, it was decided to keep it this width so 95% of the transmission stays cradled in the chassis and away from the rocks. This also keeps the lower links more parallel while keeping the chassis from getting caught up in the rocks. For smooth transitions through the rocks, all the chassis mounting holes were also machined flat.
Another area that needed attention was the skid plate. The Rockstar chassis includes a smooth machined 3/8" thick Delrin skid plate that accommodates the Axial transmission, Rc4wd R2 transmissions, and the new VF/Axial dig transmission. The skid plate is made from some of the slickest Delrin we could find.
The chassis is compatible with the CKRC stage 2 modifications.
"FT" dig for the AX-10
At only $39.99, CKRC's new "FT" dig setup is the best dig set up on the market regardless of our low price.
The axial scorpion was designed with the motor mounted forward for better weight transfer. Keeping with Axial's great design of form and function, CKRC's new dig allows the motor to remain forward for better weight distribution. This also allows the servo to be mounted in parallel with the dig ensuring smooth operation and less bind. Another great benefit is the option to run 4wd, 2wd front dig with unlocked rear or 2wd front dig with locked rear.
Viper bracket for the AX-10
Developed by the Team CKRC. Our new mount was designed and approved by top winning drivers nationwide.
Our new bracket replaces the weak Axial ax80003-3 mount and replaces it with a CNC machined bracket. The bracket allows you to use a axial rod end mounted horizontally. This eliminates the weak link and the popping or axle wrap associated with the stock mounts and keeps the upper links longer than the 4 link brackets.
4 link bracket with battery plate
CKRC's new 4 link mount eliminates the stock 3 link connector and replaces it with two stock Axial rod ends (ax80005-1). This conversion plate positions the servo off to one side to allow room for smaller batteries to be mounted up front where the weight needs to be. The bracket is also shaped to keep the Velcro battery straps from sliding back and forth.
