Brad Dumont is a very familiar name amongst hardcore R/C rock crawling enthusiasts because he's been involved in R/C cars and trucks for most of his life. He got heavily involved in 1:1 rock crawling when he moved from Maine to Colorado, and stumbled across www.rccrawler.com which solidified his involvement into R/C rock crawling.
Brads noteriety and the respect he's garnered from enthusiasts worldwide all stems from his product line that all started with him competing in the 2.2 class in Colorado and Moab. These competitions evolved into him developing products such as the SW2 chassis which Brad manufactured to sell to the general public under the name "Bender Customs". The SW3 chassis was the next chassis he designed which was essentially a no frills comp specific chassis. The SW3 chassis won the 2007 RCCRawler.com "Peoples Choice Award" for "Best Chassis". After a short break from manufacturing chassis's, he designed the SWX chassis for Axial Racing's AX10 kit. It's by far the most compact/capable chassis's he's designed to date - a culmination of four years of R&D went into the SWX.
"Brad is going to be a great compliment to the Axial team. His extensive experience in competing will be a huge asset in managing the Axial rock crawling team because he’ll make sure that driver feedback is an integral component into future Axial designs. His machining background will also contribute heavily to our product development team by reducing the time to market. This will be a tremendous benefit to rock crawling enthusiasts worldwide!
We’re glad that Brad has joined the Axial team, and we know he’ll be a valuable asset to the entire development/design process because his additional perspective on the rock crawling market will guarantee that Axial will continue to set itself apart as a pioneering leader in the rock crawling market.” says Matt Kearney, Vice President of Axial.
