Just wondering what everyone's first r/c car was? I have been reading for a few months now both online and the magazines, and I think the Slash is it for me. Almost have enough saved. ;D

Mine was a Nitro Rustler got it this time last summer!!! Unless a 1/6th crappy Nylint counts?!?! lol. I got it when I was like 10 yrs. old or less!!! lol. But it doesn't run now!!!! lol.

My first RC car was a Tamiya GrassHopper. I ran the crap out of it. My brother rear-ended me with his BlackFoot and split the rear axel in half. I glued it back together using epoxy and nylon string. After the GrassHopper took all it could take I mowed lawns for what seemed forever to save up 140 bucks for a Team Associated RC10 that I bought from "Al" at Al's Hobby Shop (LHS). I ran the crap out of that too! It must have taken on every form of vehicle imaginable. It was a buggy, truck, street car, and a few others that don't even fall into a class. For example: A rocket car powered by Estes rockets. After that I bought a few cars here and there but mostly started piecing kits and raw material together to make my own stuff. It's been full speed ahead since then. I found RCC and Scale4x4 a while ago and it was like slipping into an old pair of shoes. There were actually people out there that had the same intrests as me. I was never happy with just going out and buying a kit. My latest project (in my free time) is a crew cab HighLift.

Like others I started with a Grasshopper in the late eighties, I got it run over by trying to drive under cars at night. Then I purchased a RC10 and stupidly sold it. Two and a half years ago I got a Nylint and said good-bye to my pay checks (TLT's, TXT, Scorp's, Bruiser, RS4 rally, Slash, yada, yada, yada).

my first rc was a kyosho ultima in 1987. ran it to death raced it bashed it ect. then i got an rc gold pan car, then a losi 5 link jrx been hammering every since
