is the slash gonna be controllable with a 3s lipo and the velineon in the 50% training mode? might be a nice way to get some long run time..

Ive heard that 3s lipo is overkill with these trucks, but with the throttle in training mode you might be alright. Let us know how it works out.

well got a package on the doorstep when i got home from work.. velineon and cooling fan. excitement plus. lol. so i put my new 11.1 5000mah lipo on charge and started installing. OMFG 11.1v is totally overkill. its awesome! mash the throttle and it wheelspins in a high pitch blur all the way down my 60m street. i have to slow down super smooth to stop it spinnin out and high speed crashing all this and it still hasnt hit top speed. jeez. didnt manage to put it into training mode yet, it was dark and time was short. also tried it with a 7.2v nimh and it was a good fun speed. will be my everyday pack until 7.4v lipo arrives. good fun

My buddy is running a Mamba Max,5700 kv motor, and a 3200 miah 3 s lipo and it's way overkill but fun.I have ran a few 6,7, and 8 cell nimh and I think I will stick with the nimh batteris for now. The Mamba's power can be turned down and it's alot easier to drive.

well i got the slash going out at a massive construction site near my house on the weekend. new residential estate with almost finsihed house plots and lots of half done roads, with dirt and gravel instead of the finished tarmac. now i really got to open her up and it was totally awesome. surprisingly the slash actually handled the high speed off road runs no worries at all. nice and smooth and quite controllable even screaming past at full speed. i think the new shock setup (thanks rob m) i copied seems to make a big difference

Awesome, yeah I found that shock setup worked good for general bashing but found it too stiff for the loose dirt the track had to offer.

the first time i even gave it throttle one of the tires ripped off of the rim and was torn to shreds.....very irritating, so i ca glued that sucker back together and gave it another go, much more cautiously. lol. other than having the same thing happen two more times the truck is handeling the power ok...3 output yokes, and axle slider and rear a-arm have broken, but im having fun!!

I have a 3s vxland it is too much, uncontrollable for sure. with 23t pinion i get top speed of close to 55 est ( buddy has a jato and its a tiny bit slower)

The chase videos i posted were with the VXL and a maxamps 3s 5000mah. It definitely takes some throttle control to use it. Training mode keeps it more stable, acts like a modded brushed motor. I like having the extra power, even if I can't use it... DOH!
