Um dont take this offensive but seriously i know why you have so much karma YOUR AN ASS Sorry but I don't see him as being an ass... He is just the type of person that doesn't sugar coat everything and tells it how it is. Nothing wrong with that. People take way too much crap to heart. Ok back on topic...

There's an easy fix to the rear hinge pins coming loose. Its only 1 side that always seems to work loose, both at the trans and the hub carrier. Pull them out, and install them from the other side. After I have done that, I have never had one back out again. now when the suspension works, it tightens the pins instead of working them loose. Trick though is to only turn around the pins your having issues with or else the other ones will start backing out if you flip those around. (Found that out the hard way) Also wheel nuts are an issue too. I use a blue locktite on those. Also, when using the 4 way wrench, I like to insert a screwdriver into one of the side lugs to allow me to have some extra leverage to get the nut a little tighter. I know 4 people (myself included) that had a back tire fall off the truck on the first pack. Good ideas all Rob................. the point was never to be an ass or anything else. I was just calling a spade a spade, as I saw it, as in my eyes there are way too many people buying RCs today - I blame a lot of it on the RTR market, and the fact that there's little modeling and building skills in many of those involved in the hobby today - and they expect everything to be perfect out of the box. Everybody just charges up a pack and goes. And seemingly nobody bothers to check anything beforehand, let alone after the fact, and somebody always has some complaint about a gearmesh that was set too tight that stripped a spur, a bulkhead that was loose from the factory, a slipper that doesn't slip, a wheel that fell off, or some other RTR-related failure that could have been diagnosed and not been a problem with a little forsight and pre-run checklisting --- routine-, hobby-, racer-related stuff. We're not running radioshack crap-arini's here boys, but if you treat them like it IMHO you're going to have the same sort of explodo-mundo problems. ;D .........anyway, "Back to our regularly scheduled programming:..........

Also be sure to never over tighten them, only takes once and they'll never stay snug if you start to strip the plastic. Good point william.......... it's been my long-standing practice on tightening any metal screw into plastic or nylon to be very careful not to unknowlingly strip the threads - and I do that by tightening a screw or bolt until it's snug, snug-snug but not tight-tight, and then backing it out about 1/8 to 1/4 turn to eliminate the stressing of the threads. Of course, any metal to metal connection should have Loctite applied - whether it's got a lockwasher or an aircraft nut on it or not - if for not other reason than self-preservation and/or mid-run aggrevation.

note to self: ignore all future dumbass questions posted by iaredevin Knock it off. The only ass on this forum is you. You come on this forum thinking you know everything, and acting rude and mean to those that don't compare to you in your mind. And then when people smited you for that you whined and pouted about being smited. Well, maybe if you adjusted your attitude, people would actually like you. Geez do I need to lock this thread too? Move on already. If I see something I deem as an issue, then I will handle it. So far I just see crying.
