Had one back when they first came out (late 1990's) and it was a blast. I wanted an electric 4wd stadium truck and nothing really is offered now. So I found one on ebay RTR with a Magnum Jr (Newer model), Trinity Retro Series Monster Horsepower motor and a Novak Dually esc for $75 buy it now. Came with a new set of street tires and chrome rims in the bag as well. She's a little rough. Someone decided to spray paint the wheels and tires gray... while on the truck. So lots of overspray on it. And the body has about 10 coats of paint on the outside of it. So tore it all down tonight to inspect everything. Needs a few parts but overall not too bad. Only downside is that half of the parts are no longer available. But we will do what we can to get it back into tip top shape. This truck was a sweet truck, surprised only the nitro version is around anymore. Here's more info about it if anyone is interested. www.hpiracing.com/kits/mt/mt-m.htm

I love the F-150 body with the huge wing, looks awesome in that picture. I know NickRummy converted an MT18ss or MT2 into a 4wd electric truck, and it was pretty sweet. I look forward to some pics!

i left a message on the hpi shout box telling them to tweek this truck and turn it into a CORR truck, alum. drive shafts instead of belts, upgrade the diffs, stretch some of the bodys they got to fit, and some sweet rims. lol i figured if they weren't building a purpose built truck a make shift would do.

I converted my MT2 18ss to electric to use in a local rock racing class. Wanted to be different and use something with indy suspension. It ran really well but the class never took off. My next plan was to turn it into a 4WD CORR truck with a custom chassis but the width was way to wide for a lslash body even using full offset wheels.

My buddy had a rs4 mt back in the 90's too. It was as close to a "pro" rs4 mt as one could possibly get. He got sick and tired of buying chassis' for it so he sold it. He wishes he had'nt. But it did suck to maintain when the chassis broke (always in the front ,right behind the front bulkhead). It would break on the stupids of jumps and bumps.
Be careful!
Still a cool truck!
