too many shims or a stripped out screw maybe. That is one drawback to having the arms attach to the tranny.

ill look into that, take the tranny apart, again, and see. but i didnt think it would come from the factory like that.

I just put a strip of electrical tape up the front and down the bottom before I install the trans. Fit of the case halves does leave a lot to be desired. But traxxas has had that setup for years.

That don't look too good. Get a tube of Shoo-Goo/GOOP - it sticks to anything - and put a smear of it along the seam, smoothing it out with a wet finger, before re-installing the tranny. anyone else have this big gap in there Slash Transmission?

ill look into the shims in the transmission. not sure if the local hobby shop carries any shooglue, but ill look into it. thanks!

so, upon taking aprt the transmission again, the gap is caused by the way the plastic was machined. the left side of the transmission justs out further then the right side, and is also cuz an ever so slight angle that makes it gap a bit. it really inst too bad of a problem. there doesnt appear to be any big dirt issues, but i should probably re lube the gears here soon, probably wouldnt hurt...
