I have a wheelbase question more for the body than the chassis. Tower lists the chassis wheelbase as 13.2" but the front tires aren't really centered in the wheelwells and it looks slightly odd. I plan to use a slash body on another vehicle and was wondering what the concensus was for a better fitting wheelbase. I was thinking it should be 13" or maybe less. I would just measure myself but I haven't committed to buying a body just yet. In case my chassis idea doesn't pan out.

The wheels move back when the suspension compresses. You cange the wheelbase and you may run into more body contact.

Not quite sure what the question is........
...........yet at the same time oftentimes, because of the amount of suspension travel on off-road trucks, the wheelwells don't appear to match up with the wheels pointed straight ahead because the wheelwells still have to clear the wheels with them at full lock and the shocks being compressed after landing a jump.......
.......does that make sense, or maybe answer your question?

Yeah, I know why its setup how it is, I will be running a different vehicle under the body though, with less kickup(or whatever it's called). The slash has a much more angled front suspension, as opposed to what I'm planning. So assuming the wheels don't move back much in the wheelwells, what do you think the wheelbase should be?

Honestly, you're asking a rhetorical question.
It's kinda like asking "how big should boobs be?"

The body is set pretty much for a 13" wheel base. The reason for the kick up is for rough track handling. 4wd has less kickup, but thats because if it ran as much as 2wd the suspension would act funny under throttle and brake.

Honestly, you're asking a rhetorical question. It's kinda like asking "how big should boobs be?" and what is your answer to that question? cuz there is a limit...if she can't hold them in her own two hands and they're bigger put together than her own butt, WAY TOO BIG

Thanks, I think I'll shoot for 13". My chassis will be 4wd, therefore less movement backwards of the front tires. I also notice the rear tires doesn't look perfectly centered. If you haven't noticed this will have a lot of concentration on the looks as opposed to all about performance. If it was performance I'd use a small body and be stuck with just another RC stadium truck. The scaleness is what I love about the slash and want 4wd and to use what I already have. Probably get a real 2wd slash eventually also though.
