Pegasus Hobbies in Montclair Ca. has a Traxxas Slayer on display already. I stopped by this morning and it's nice.
This thing has nothing that will crossover from the Slash other than the body. The wheels are even different in that they appear to be the 2.2 wheels of the Slash, until you look at the suspension. The backside diameter of the wheels are the size of 1/8th scale buggy/truggy wheels. This is because the wheels have to clear the suspension arms and uprights. It appears that this could convert to a 1/8th buggy for Traxxas if they wanted to.

Dion, I've got 2 Karma points for you,if you go gets some pics!!!!! Okay, here are the pictures, from my Voyager phone. I didn't want to haul my DSLR into Pegasus. rear suspension front suspension I was told the chassis is the 2.5 Revo, but it has the 3.3 motor. Now will I get my 2 Karma points?

Dion, got you're second for ya!and thanks again for getting some real world pics,,
on to the Slayer, That chassis sure looks cramped,to bad Traxxas did'nt just make a new body that would have fit the 3.3 chassis with alittle wider a-arm's and used a 2.8 wheel,I think that would have been a better way to go

That chassis definitely does look cramped. But I guess that's how Revo's look. I'm not digging this one. I'm glad the Slash came first.

I think its cool, but wouldnt spend the $400 or whatever it is on it.
Those tires are gonna be bald within 3 runs.

Its not bad, I think its over engineered though. Of course I think that with the Revo haha.

So I head down to Pegasus Hobbies tonight for a few minutes of testing some stuff on my Slash, and someone is running a Slayer. It's nice, needs a little suspension tuning, but pretty quick (of course).
