i wanted the truck to run into corners alittle flatter and tighten up some of the body roll . i used a kyosho 8th scale rear swaybar with rc4wd alum ball ends drilled in the front bumper

Looks good. I see you did the carbon front tower mod as well. I am running inside shock mount hole and inside camber mount hole and off-power steering is great now. ;D

Yeah I lost track how many times I have rebuilt my shocks trying different things, but in the end I now have a track that runs sweet around the track. ;D

Nice job, that looks like it should really work well. Have you had any head on collisions? I wanna know how it would hold up.

its a kyosho 8th scale rear buggy sway bar i'll look tommarrow for the part# it came with all the hardware.the rod end are RC4WD 14mm long & 5.6mm diameter (shaft area) & 9mm diameter (ball area) Center hole to end of the ball end is 4mm and 10mm Ball hole is 3.1mm Fit 3mm threaded shaft . you will have to straighten one side of the sway bar to get rod end on then rebend it back. i had to put an another bend about a 1/2 from the end and mounted to the lower shock mount i ran it today with the swaybar it works great.the truck was flat into the corners. when the truck was sideways going into the corners it was easy to regain control. also i ran the narrowed tires with no failures i think i going to change the throttle curve it alot of motor in hard pack dirt

update i have running the sway for a few weeks now it has taken a beatin.. with no issues I am curious, because you have it mounted to the flexible front bumper, if you've taken it off yet and laid out the sway bar to see if it's still straight ??

hey rob, i pulled the truck apart to clean it the sway bar is still flat. twisting the front suspension the bumper does not flex or the mounts. you can twist and flex the sway bar with out it losing its shape -mike

I was just curious about your mounting location. front-mounted (or foward facing) swaybars have a history of being problematic on some rigs, and I was just hoping that wasn't the case with yours. oftentimes just the right hit and a swaybar will bend or get tweaked, especially if their mounts aren't into aluminum, and it's why most offroad electric racers seldom use them - happy that yours has worked out so well. -rob
