Anyone remember that place? Who all was a member? I just was thinking about it the other day. I was a member way back when Don ran it. Funny thing is that I traded him my 1/8th scale buggy for the website because he wanted to shut it down. I didn't have a clue about running a forum though at the time. Well the last owner offered me a good chunk of change for it so I sold it shortly after I acquired it. Dumb on my part. Looks like now its dead.  Don't worry, I don't plan on getting rid of this place  |

I remember that a while ago, that was one of the first forums I visited when I got into RC. Didnt post much there, but I checked it out a few times.

Hasn't it been dead for a couple years now? Lots of forums have come and gone over the years. Only a few have survived longer than just a few years. Way back in the late 90's it was hard to get something started, then it became a bit to easy and loads of them popped of fragmenting the r/c community into more specific vehicle types. Good or bad that happened and some survived, looks like maxxtraxx didn't make it. With the economy the way it is it isn't getting any easier either. Money is tight, so life's little extras sometimes need a back seat to family and responsibilities. Hopefully the economy comes back sooner than later, this hobby has never seen such a great selection of more durable and economical choices.  |

Yeah I think its been down for some time. Kinda weird it died, with the trucks still being a huge hit. Guess poor management. I know too though sometimes things get too big for their own good.

MaxxTaxx is still up and going,I still peek in there once in awhile,I'm still a member too! forum.maxxtraxxusa.com/ I think what really Killed MaxxTraxx was the switching server's like 5 time's and then the big one that lost everthing,,alot of good info whent down the tube's on that one,really a shame,used to be my favorite site for a long time |

When I bought my T-MAXX last year I became a member of it. I shortly lost interest in the place because there was a lack of activity.
