I know most of you older guys like me know this mod, but some of the folks just starting out may not know how to do this. If you want to limit the shock travel(bump stop) so that your Slash(or any RC) will not bottom out so much you can do a simple shock mod with a length of fuel tubing. First get your shock disassembled and some fuel tubing. I cut my pieces at 15mm. I found this length worked the best for my Slash. Next slip the tubing up the shock shaft. Here is a nice way to tighten the ball end. Use the tubing as a protector to grip the rod with. This way you won't gouge it with your pliers. Now assemble your shock as usual and compress it to push the tubing down to the bottom. This is a cheap and easy way to set up a longer bumpstop!

Divide the mm dim. by 25.4 and this will give you the inch measurement.
15 Divided by 25.4 = .59"

1mm = .03937007874 (or as far as i remember, thanks to a cad program that wont let you do math with decimal numbers...)
6.35m = .25"
12.7mm = .5"
