So, I'm sure I'm not the only one with this idea, but i think im the first to post it. Considering the Slayer is based on the Revo, I had a crazy Idea of taking an E-Revo, modifying it with either parts from the Slash or Slayer (whichever will fit cuz im sure the control arms are way shorter) maybe new body posts and the Velineon, and *tada* a Traxxas Slasher- a four wheel drive Revo-spec Pro-4 style Electric Short Course Off-Road Racing Truck. Maybe if i ever get the money I'll be able to pull it of.

Or just take the Slayer and convert it to brushless

From what I understand, I (believe) that the Slayer chassis is the same as the 2.5 Revo. The 3.3 is longer, and the E-Revo is an even longer wheelbase than that (don't know WHY though, the 3.3 Revo's handle great for a huge nitro monster truck) but anyway, the point is the E-revo conversion just wouldn't work.
I would just get a Slayer (or wait about six months or so for a used one to show up on Ebay) then gut it and get one of the readily-available aftermarket brushless conversions for a regular revo.
Insto-presto, E-Slayer.

Give it a month, I bet Traxxas will offer their own version of the "Slasher".

The e-revo is 2 inches longer than the slayer. You could use the slayer arms on the e-revo but the body wouldn't line up. I agree with javelinsst, wait to get a used one off of ebay. Or buy a cheap used 2.5 revo, change the arms and driveshafts, and install the BL conversion. I would also be willing to bet that there will be an e-slayer out about 2-3 months after the slayer deploys.

Hopefully if everyone complains about the lack of an electric version, Traxxas will come out with it ;D
