What have you done to protect your body from tire wear on the inner wheel wells and is it working? Share your fixes.

I heard some people use shoe goo and put it on the inside of the wheel well. others used tape. i bet a coat or two ow rubber cement may work well, just let it dry and you get that nice coating.

I saw that TNT FX makes a Slash body protection kit, but I just ghettoed it with so metal duct tape and it seems to be working good. IMO mine looks better with some battle scars, you should see the dent in the side from sliding into a cinder block NOW it's scale!

I had some clear teflon tape lying around from my days as an auto-body repair man. It's the same stuff they use on newer cars on the rocker panels and lower body areas to protect the paint from rocks, etc. I just cut a few pieces of that and put in there. Of course, by the time I did it the paint was already damaged, but it kept it from getting worse. Plus, being teflon, I wonder if it might help reduce friction from rubbing tires. It's called rock-guard or something like that, but to be honest, the stuff is STUPID expensive (about $10 a foot, if I remember correctly) so you might want to find a cheaper alternative. I just tried it because I had it lying around already.

I have to say I might have a quick fix for it rubbing in the rear. I was adjusting stuff and looked at the rear body mount. It is held on by 4 screws but there are 6 holes in the mount. Remove the top screws and place them in the bottom holes. Move the mount up letting the center holes go to the top location and then tighten up the two lower ones. This moves the rear of the body up about 5/16 inch. I race mine and anytime something rubbs it has the possibility of scrubbing off speed. Every little bit helps.
