I have noticed that different tracks are setting different rules for stock class racing with the Slash. What do you think should be allowed?
I think it should be stock motor/esc. Battery limit is 7 cell NiMH or 2 cell Lipo. Stock tires, unmodified. Shocks can be upgraded. Tx and Rx can be upgraded. Rest has to be stock parts.
Whats your take on it?

Yup I pretty much agree with you. Leave the stock powerplants in there and keep the battery limit to 6 / 7 cell or 2s Lipos. Maybe an upgraded steering servo and different gearing?
Steering / handling should mostly be what people play with to try and outrun each other. Just makes it that much more fun.

The stock steering servo actually works really well. Plenty of power, waterproof and digital. Win win combo to me. ;D

Do you guys allow reverse in the stock class. Some of our guys say it should be allowed as the truck comes stock with reverse. Whats your thoughts.

Im on the line on that one. Part of me wants to say no since it will help you become a better drive without relying on reverse when you get in trouble, but it can also make the race run smoother?

Was thinking today, what about a Super Stock? Anything allowed, except must run stock esc and motor, 2s or 7 cell nimh max, and stock wheels/tires and body. But what makes it different over box stock is the fact you can put any other upgrades on the truck you choose.

That would be kinda cool too, cause you could upgrade Tx/Rx too 2.4 Ghz and also go RPM and be a tiny tad lighter!!!

I think that reverse should be allowed, but you have to wait for traffic to clear just like the real ones do. If you cause an accident because of using reverse then you are black flagged.

With only 6 channels for stock radios, kinda half to. Maybe one day Traxxas will catch on in the radio department and offer TQ 2.4 ghz.
