I am looking at the aluminum trans case for my Slash. Anyone else tried it?

one of the old things to do for the pedes was to make an aluminum motor plate. I know somebody made one that required little modification to the plate, just had to mod the tranny case. This was a long while back, looked like a AE rc10 tranny with the plate when done.

Yeah and I thought about that, but for the price I would rather just buy an aluminum case and not have to worry about gear mesh issues etc.

I had one and removed it already... It's just too heavy IMO... Went back to the plastic one. I'm running the VXL and not really getting heat issues anyway...
