If you want to remain fairly stock, get the Associated motor from the SC10. If will allow you to clean the comm and brushes for better life and performance. Shouldnt cost too much either off EBay...
Or go with the Velineon system, its a kick in the pants!!!

? any one running this ? I upgraded from the junk titian cant afford a new motor every other week. I'm running a Novak 17.5 motor & ESC combo my ? is what spur & pinion gear do you guys recommend to run with this set up??? at this time I'm running stock 86T spur 23T pinion my temp is around 100 -115 degree's but it was really COLD out last weekend just worried come July I might be running to hot or if I race indoors this winter maybe it will increase the temp and make me start running HOT....... Any one running this set up please chime in and tell me what you think or offer your set up.... THANK YOU

Alf, you are ok on temps. Just check it when it gets hot outside, try to keep the motor temp under 150-160 degrees. If you get it much above that very often, you can actually damage the magnets in the motor, causing a drop in power...
