My reliable JR XS3 is starting to show it's age. I figure I will just put it on my "buddy buggy" that I let people use when they visit. I am looking for some recommendations for a new setup. I definately want 2.4 spread spectrum and hopefully an Rx that will fit in the waterproof Slash case. I am not choosy about what brand. any ideas?

Oh..And price IS a concern..I can't spend more on the radio than I did on my Slash. Wife is starting to notice all the debits to the LHS.

Spektrum DX2.0 or MX3 2.4ghz
Not sure if the RX's will fit in the Slash RX box or not.

I finally bit the bullet and ended up getting a dx 3.0 I found on sale for $159. thanks for the input

Do you have to use the servos that come with the Spektrums or can you leave the stock one in? I'm thinking about the DX2.0 or 3.0 since i only have 2 cars to worry about.

I just let the stock steering servo in and it seems to work fine. I might try the servos that it comes with later on when I have time.

I picked up a used dx3.0 and reciever used yesterday. Just gotta wait for it to come in the mail. Will be nice to put away the different remotes for my 2 cars.
