hey guys. if you know anything PLEASE respond. thanks
if a brushless esc is rated 35A or 60A, what is the difference?
are the run times longer or shorter compared to a similar brushed motor?
any suggestions? i don't want it stupid fast. it's for my slash obviously.
thanks a lot

That refers to the continuous amount of current that the esc can send to the motor without overheating. Using the same motor a 35A esc will overheat well before a 60A will. In fact in my opinion a 35A esc is too small for a slash. To regulate speed you would be better to use a smaller battery than try to regulate your esc. Just because and esc is rated at 60A dosn't mean that that is what it is using all the time. In fact you might find that with the larger esc your run time would increase because your not wasting energy by overheating it. I hope this helps.

Just as a note, the mamba max is rated at 100 amps. My brother uses it on his slash and he still has overheating problems. (that being said he drives the pants of of it)

what motor? and batt? if he drives the pants off it...proper gearing is more than essential.

he's running a 7700 kv bls motor and a 7.4v 5300 mah lithium battery, He's got the smallest pinoin they sell at the lhs and a 90 tooth slipper gear. We put a fan on the esc and a heat sink on the motor and that seemed to help but I still think it gets too hot. I told him not to buy the 7700 but he wanted it to go as fast as possible.
