Team Orion Formula SV2 Pro BB motor is what i'm going to replace my stock motor with. Is there a big diffrent between the too??? "15t or 17t" Also, what pinion gear should i use? I got venom 3000mah and 5000mah for my batteries. Everything is stock on my slash for now. Thank's.... "jay"

yes there is a difference between the two or they would only make one.... is this your first rc, if so take some time and do a bit of research on motors and batteries and esc's before you buy so you wont be dissapointed.
lets say you run the 5000nimh battery, the 17t will have more torque and less top end and the 15t will have less torque and more top end with the same gearing. same with the 3000nimh battery just lower run times and output power.
as far as gearing goes...that depends on what you are doing with the truck.

I put on a 15 tooth pinion on my 17t motor and it sooo slow now. Looking to have the same speed as a my titan. Also, i'm useing a promatch 7 cell 5000 battery and stock tires. What pinion gear should i use?  |
