I'm trying to find the article on fixing the diff so it holds diff oil, i saw it here some where but can't seem to find it. a guy at the track told me i need to grind out a piece of the tranny ,so i wanna be sure what i need and how much to remove before i start.

yeah,I would not bother trying it,you will have problems, especially if you run brushless power, just fill it with 30-50k diff fluid and it will leak out eventually, but never spin freely like it did out of the box. you need to inspect the tranny bearing regularly anyway,I have seen a lot of their 5x11 blue shielded bearings fail
