After blowing out the last set of plastic ones, I already had the trans apart and installed the steel gears. I have ran 3 battery runs with a 27T spec motor and a 4600 mah 7cell, so each run was almost 15 minutes.
I would have to say that they are a success. Gears fit perfectly, no wear on the case, and no additional wear or problems with the spur gear.
With the plastic gears, I would start getting noise after a couple minutes.
I believe that these will last quite a while!!! Great Job TTR!
