Find a use Spektrum DX3 or a 2 channel model. I got my DX3 with 2 receivers and I got 3 channels to use with my rock crawler all for $100. You only need 2 channels for the slash but you might want to get something different later so it probably better to go ahead and get a 3 channel.

Thats what I like about the SR3000's. You can get them used for cheap. I got the one I bought the other day for $40 and it looked new.

It has full telemetry sensors and extra grips included, as well as two receivers. One normal receiver and one telemetry. I'm running the Slash, Flux, and SC10 on it with great results. (to me telemetry is kind of a gimmick, and I am not using it, but the telemetry receiver is also a basic receiver)
