I am doing some buying on ebay and I am trying to see how cheap I can build a Stock slash. I found a roller minus the hub carriers and a few other items for about $70.00
I will post some pics when it arrives and I will try to see if Bulding one from parts is cheaper than buying from the Hobby Shop. Keep in mind that I do not need any radio equipment or body. I will be using my 2.4 Fasst system from my soon to be sold RC18T.

You can get them used around here complete rtr for around 90 bucks. lol

im workin on one too and i didnt exactly look for the cheapest stuff i used buy it nows cause i hate bidding and im sitting at $151 and only need a few more things like pins should be under 5 dallors more and i didnt need tires or a body or motor or esc so 160ish and i should be done and have a brand new stock slash

so in other words building a rtr is more expensive than buying the whole truck. a roller would be cheaper though. check this out just for the stock electonics.
