Spektrum DX3. Goods. No worries about crystals, gets reception for as far as you can see, no glitching, fast, seems more comfortable and seems to drive better. lol And you can get them used pretty cheap. Nothing bad about them that I have ran across.

Just got a DX3, but its for my rock crawler at the moment! I'll still run my Hitec tho.

i still run my stock radio. its okay for beginners, but for average/good or expert drivers not so good at all. my glitches like crazy when im on the sidewalk and halfway between the two intersection streets and i go past one of the intersection streets and go a ways and it starts glitching. i know it might confuse some, but to others it may make sense what i just said. i would like to get a futaba 3pm 2.4ghz or spektrum dx3.0 or dx3s.
