I bought a sc8 and after I got it tuned I was driving it in some sand and I jumped it and after that it started to bog and then it died so then i brought it back to the truck and I looked and the zip ty broke off and the air filter fell off and it sucked a lot of dirt through it so do any of guys think the motor is still good or should i just buy a new motor.

Motor is probably shot, especially if that much dirt went through it.

Dont try to restart the motor if possible. I would remove the motor, remove the filter if you put it back on. Spray some WD40 down the through of the the slide carb to blast any sand out. I would then remove the Starter Back plate so you will see the crankshaft and conrod inside the motor. Once you see that, just spray it out with WD40 or just some fuel. You may also want to remove the cooling head and top plate so you can look down into the cylinder. Make sure it is free of sand as well. If it seems gritty, you can remove the Sleeve and inspect the piston and sleeve in more detail. Good luck.
