During the build, I became concerned about how well the body would hold up, especially the rear fenders. The only mounting points are in the front and rear, and losing the support of the bed area just lets the body flap around when handling it. On the second body, I made sure I had all the decals on before I cut the bed out so i wouldn't put too much pressure on it. After about 10 rollovers, the crack behind the cab developed, so with sacrificing the scale look with the body off, I added a brace that is held at the rollcage with the existing screw and sits on the rear body mount. Should add plenty of support, and can be removed quickly. I have considered inserting a setscrew into that rollcage mount, and a small body post at that point, and the brace can be removed with the body.

Yeah, the lexan would probably hold up better, but could still face the same problem without the support. With the body on, they can't be seen, and they do come off in about 10 seconds anyway. Still thinking too about putting another post on the cage to hold the body at the back of the cab.

Good idea for now. I too am looking forward to the Lexan body.
