new charger, i have good news and bad news

good news;
I just picked up an MRC Super Brain 977. And I love that it does dual packs (emaxx) at up to 5 amps each. I've heard a lot of bad things about mrc, mostly the 960's. And i have to say that i'm impressed with the 977 so far. the power supply runs icy cold. all my duratrax power supplies ran super hot. i've never had a fancy charger that is all digital and shows so much info about the charge like the 977. ;D

bad news;
i need to buy new batteries. i have realized exactly how bad all my batteries are. none of them will take their full capacity for a charge. the only packs i have that take their full advertised capacity are my old 2000 nicd matched race packs. and those are taking 2300+.

I have a Hyperion EOS I6061 charger and it is GREAT. Charges everything... NiCd, NiMH, Lipo, Li-Mn, A123 etc.. Also discharges, and balances.

i have a 977 as well...i love it

for some reason my maxx amps NEW didnt charge up to 4700 but they still go fast

I was looking at the Hyperion as well, nice unit.

My first charger was a MRC, a 15 minute timer charger lol.

I have the hyperio also, along with some junk chargers i used for my emaxx...Hyperion is awesomer

I've got a Dynamite Vision Peak2, it does what it's supposed to so i don't complain!!!! lol.

I just bought the hyperion duo because I plan on running brushless truggy soon. I wanted a charger that could do 2 pack at the same time. I like the fact that i can use a 24 volt supply to run it also.
