I just cleaned and packed my diffs with silly putty. I will try them out today on my Mamba Slash and VXL Bandit. I'll keep you posted.

Ok, just tried running the Slash and the Bandit with silly putty diffs. Both rigs were run on a Maxamps 3s 5000mah lipo pack. Both have VXL motors, but the Slash has a Mamba Max ESC and the Bandit has a VXL ESC. Here is what I found:
The Mamba Slash had some understeer, to be expected, but the "one wheel peel" was eliminated. Take off were straight, but over throttle resulted in true donuts. Moist dirt she tracked well, grass was perfect. Not sure how she'll act on a track, we're supposed to build one this weekend at my buddy's ranch.
The VXL Bandit had the most understeer with the silly putty diff. No matter what speed it had a TON of understeer. But being as this will be my drag rig that wasn't a problem. The Swami bar worked perfectly (laid back) and the wheelies were straight and true. With the regular diff she would wobble during wheelies, but not any more.
A few words of caution. Putting silly putty in the diffs will be VERY hard on your drivetrain. I had a flip with the Bandit under throttle and blew a tire off of the rim which resulted in a broken rear a-arm and a twisted half shaft. No problems with the Mamba Slash, but I only ran one pack.
I will post more updates after this weekend.

I put 45 all around, with single hole front and 2 hole rear pistons in my bigbore shocks.

I know this is an old thread that I'm bringing back from the dead. But was curious if you went away from running the dual stage pistons? I used them this week. Seemed to work pretty good. Now only if I was better....LOL I see you also had changed your setup info to 45 all around with the different pistons.
