So far this is what I have found to work well for me: This setup worked well for on-road, and general bashing. Makes the truck a lot less tippy. Below that is my race setup. Bashing Setup:Front: -50 wt oil -1 hole pistons (adds more "pack" to slow down the body roll when turning) -outside hole on arm. -No pre-load clips Rear: -70 wt oil -2 hole pistons -1 hole farther out on arm then stock -1 large, 1 small pre-load clip so rear arms sit just about level. Goal was to add more pack to the suspension to slow down the body roll in the corners. It handles a lot more predictable now. Race Setup:Track: Tight and loamy, somewhat bumpy. Front: -45 wt oil -RPM #55 2 stage pistons -outside hole on arm. -No pre-load clips -2 deg negative camber Rear: -35 wt oil -RPM #55 2 stage pistons -1 hole farther out on arm then stock -1 large, 1 med, and 1 small pre-load clip so rear arms sit just above level for more rear weight transfer. -2.5 deg negative camber Misc: -Stock motor/esc -Maxamps 3000 2S Lipo -90t spur gear -Rear tires flipped around for more forward bite.

So the 70 weight works well ehh? I heard 45 or 50 made a big improvement too.

Well tonight just changed it to 25 wt all around, 1 hole piston front, 2 in the rear. all 4 shocks 1 hole out on the arms. For the new dirt track, it works a lot better. The track is really bumpy though, and traction is a treasure hunt... still playing with setup, doesn't feel right.

I am thinking of doing heavier weight in the back with mine, I think that will help.

I was playin around with some pre-load clips today and couldnt really find a happy medium. I just love being able to swing the back end around so much :-D
Im gonna try some 40wt oil in the back soon.

Just a FYI: Pre-load clips are the most mis-understood tuning tool people have. They add clips to try to stiffen the suspension, when actually your just putting the spring in a bind and thats whats making the suspension feel stiffer. Pre-load clips are just to set ride height. If you have to use a lot of clips, then you probably need a stiffer spring for your setup, thats why they offer them. For the rear, you should never need more then 1 of the largest clips, and for the front you should never even need the largest clip.
Changing the angle of the chassis using these clips can really effect steering and traction. Its one of the easiest adjustments to make. If you set the rear higher then the front, you will have more weight transfer when you get on the throttle allowing the rear to have more bite. If you have the front higher, when you let off the gas, you will have more weight transfer to the front of the truck allowing faster turn in. It seems weird when you think about it, but the physics behind it work.

Have you tried packing the diff with heavy grease yet? When I corner had, mainly on asphalt but some on dirt, the inside tire goes up in smoke and I lose forward momentum. I need to try to stiffen up to front shocks with the 1 hole pistons and heavier oil to keep it from transfering so much to the front outside corner.

Not sure it works. Was asking if it would. Heard of people doing it, also some lock the diff with hot glue, others said the locker diff from a REVO etc would work. A locker would make the trucks more realistic and would allow nice rear sliding thru the turns.

I tried heavy duty wheel bearing grease, lasted 1 pack. If you really want to slow down the diff action, OFNA makes a product called "Diff Lock Lube". Its some nasty sticky stuff so be careful.

I just called it "Dino Boogers" well now I know what it is....I'm still calling it "Dino Boogers" though. BTW....I love the dukes of hazard pic in your avatar Rob. YeeeeeeeHaaaaaaa.......
