My setup for street or hard pack handling, that can still take the jumps when needed is this:
Rear: Big bore xxl shocks with 40wt oil and Losi E/T Maxx Lowering Blue springs (Heavy). I moved the lower shock end to the outer most mounting hole.
Front: Big bore xl shocks with 40wt oil and Losi E/T Maxx Lowering Black springs (Extra Heavy). I moved the lower shock end to the outer most mounting hole. This keeps the rear planted, i.e. more traction.
Tires: I prefer the stance of HPI Geolanders mounted on the Pro-line beadlocks for the slash.
Running Castle Mamba Max w/5700KV motor
Batteries: 2 - 8000 mAh 2 cell li-po's 2 - 3800 mAh 3 cell li-po's (these cause the tires and foams to consistantly peel off the beadlocks and pass the vehicle at speed)
Gearing: 12t pinion 90t spur diff putty
The stance of the truck just looks mean, and it handles pretty well, although with good traction it will still flip backwards if I give it full throttle.
