if you guys could post your battery setups/runtimes/power for a stock (or tuned) slash and anything else you're thinking, it would be really helpful. I'm super interested in buying a slash and i'm just wondering what batteries i should think about. Not quite sure what type i want but i'm kinda leaning towards nimh because of the price(versus lipo), but nothing is for sure.
thanks

IMHO I would go with Promatch battery packs. Very well constructed and they have great punch and run time.
With my race tuned setup I am getting about approx. 25 minutes of hard bashing. I have taken alot of the roling restiance out of the truck. It helps alot!!!!

If you do decide to get a Slash you will be more than happy with it.

I run a Team Orion 2s 3200mah lipo on the stock electronics right now. Probably get around 15 minutes of solid run time and its pretty quick with that setup.
I'll be switching to a BL system this spring.

DO NOT GET VENOM BATTS!!!! Go with Promatch 4600's. Venom uses a material like alum. foil to join the batts togather. Promatch uses some very nice battery bars to connect there batts. My batteries rarley get warm at all. Also make sure they have a quality wire on them as well.

I know there are much better quality batteries then Venoms out there, but I have been using a 6 cell Venom 3000 for a couple years in various applications and it has held up really well. I am very pleased with it.

i run a team orion 4500 rocket pack 7c 8.4v. i get around 25 minutes of hard bashing on it. or you can get a promatch 7c 8.4 matched EnerG 4600 pack for about the same price as the team orion pack. i promise, if you get a slash, you will have the most fun with it.
