Ok so I have been drooling over this guy with the handle muddytrux over on rcc build of a pair of pre runner/trophy trucks .. And it got me to thinking is there a way to use the front end of a slash including half of the frame and putting a WK axle under the back... I am sure that if I had the skills I could fab up a custom frame or somthing, or hack the back off the slash frame and construct a rear end tranny and link setup but as I said I dont have the skills.. if anyone has any ideas let me know.. (oh yea it has to fit under a hardcorr body and look right to... LOL Help me brainstorm this out guys! Thanks!

Save yourself the headache and get something designed from the ground up that way... The Thunder Tech Pro 2WD slashracer.proboards80.com/index.cgi?board=ttrshortcoursetruckI think that if you tried to convert a slash, the weight bias and geometry would be so off kilter that it wouldn't handle right. Its designed to have that big heavy motor hanging way off the back, and if you changed to solid rear axle then it wouldn't be there any longer. I am not saying it can't be done or you shouldn't try it, I am all for trying new things. Just want to give you some things to think about before hand.

Belive me I thought about the thundertech truck, I however dont have the confidence in it being able to run in the open slash class at my local track... Main reason I want to go off the slash platform is avalibility of the parts and such, Traxxas and HPI seem to have a much stronger support structure in place at this time... That and I am very familiar with the wk axle setups from owning one that I converted to a crawler...
