Ok, so I was going to order my slash today, and my buddy comes back from the lhs and tells me that I have to buy a slayer because it's a way better rig. I never really looked at the slayer, cuz i wasn't all that interested in nitro, but I figured I'd get some opinions.
Let me know what you think guys

Personally I'd go with the Slash. Yes it will be slower, but you can change that with a BL system and a nice battery.
They are cheaper, tough as nails ,and look great. I have started to shy away from Nitro due to all the pains associated with it. I'd personally go for the Slash if I were you.

personally i would ether get a slash OR try to find a cheap revo 2.5r roller and convert it to electric slayer (it will cost more but it would be tuff-er and faster) the only diff between the revo 2.5r and slayer is arms wheels/tires body and bumpers.

has anyone checked out vantage racing's carbon chassis for the revo? will it fit? it might be a deciding factor of me getting a slayer to go with my slash

slash all the way less maintainence has gobs of potential plus like i always say
"if farts could scream, it would sound pretty close to a nitro"

from what i hear both trucks are a lot of fun. the stock slash is fun because its not going to spin out, but if you put a bl system in it, it takes more practice to handle it in the dirt. the slayer is a fast truck and handling is a lot easier. the only thing that gets you on nitro is the fuel and glow plugs, and maybe starting problems. anyway if you dont like to monkey with things go with the slash, if you do get the slayer. either way they are both fun.

I have 2 Slash's and a Slayer like the previous post said both are fun one is not better than the other I like them both they each have their place I agree with you, i have both too and they are so different, i love the fast than i can drive my slash for about 30 minutes on a single lipo pack and i can also drive it around the house with bodering anyone. But the slayer is so fast on a track and i'm a nitro fan i would say buy both if you can, but if you only have one to buy, start with the slash, so if you don't like the handling and everything, at least it's only less than 200$ and you can sell it pretty easy for a bit less than what you paid, i can't say the same thing about the slayer

its up to u. if u want to be inside working on ur truck all day and paying money constantly for nitro and glow plugs it would be the slayer. if u would like to buy 1 battery to last you and wait 25 mins with a fast charger it would be a slash.
