I got a RS4 off ebay and tore it down to rebuild it. It came with a Supra body with a good paint job just bad colors IMHO so I stripped the body with brake fluid. Then, I got the chassis rebuilt and electronics installed. Cleaned and revamped the inner body. Before After With all that done I repainted the Supra body. Then, the Pirelli rally tires came in so I mounted them on the black HPI wheels and took it for a spin. I am currently working on a new body for it. It will be a Subaru WRX body with Yokomo wipers and mirrors.

thats a nice build. i think you should keep the supra body on it. too many rally subarus out there. if you could find a Celica body, that would be awesome. but its your project. and it looks good. its BUMMER HPI doesnt make these anymore...

Sorry guys I haven't checked this board in a while. As for the brake cleaner I just poured it on the body and smeared it around with a rag so everything was covered and let it sit about thirty minutes and then scrubbed it with the rag. I repeated that about 2 or 3 times. I got all the old paint off in one night. Tamiya is making a DF-03 chassied rally car but your right HPI should update these and bring them back shaft drive. This is how it turned out with the Subaru body. Its a fun little car but its up for sale on ebay. I am trying to get the money together for a 1/16 brushless Slash as soon as they are released.
