For some reason, my slash has a much tighter turning radius one way vs. the other. And after re-centering the servo in relation to the saver, and checking the camber is the same from side-to-side, looking for bent/broken parts, etc., I'm at a loss. Does Anbody else's truck do this?

Hmm weird, mine seems to turn the same in both directions. If you flip the truck over, and turn the wheels both ways, does it look to steer both ways the same amount?

I would put money on that the servo saver insert is stripped out. (The piece that adapts the servo saver to the servo.)

Mine turned sharper to the left right out of the box. I pulled the servo saver off, moved it over 1 spline and put it back on. Then it turned sharper to the right. I finally gave up and adjusted the steering end points on my spektrum. Now it doesnt turn sharp enough in either direction. At least its consistant.

In some cases, the bellcrank system gets pulled away from the chassis. This happens when you case a jump or when the front bumper absorbs a huge impact. The reason why this happens is because the bellcrank is bolted to the skid only and is just kept in the chassis by a guide. Check it out.
I can usually tell when this happens cause the truck will start veering to one side.

The stock servo in my slash wouldnt turn all the way to left. So repositioned everything then it wouldnt turn to the right. I use a Helios radio, so I know its not my radio gear. I digged a little deeper, I flipped it upside down and watched the servo horn move. The last 25% of the wheel turn would not respond, it just stopped. So I readjusted again the other way, and it would loose the 25% on that side. So I figure I had a bad servo with a "deadzone" in the servo. I called Traxxas, they said they have never heard of the servo doing that. So I purchased a hitech 645 and now I have more than enough steering. Infact I had to turn it down. The servo horn was moving past the trucks end points.
I figure the stock servo was bad, or it doesnt have the capability to go as far with a good radio.

If you guys are absolutely sure that there is nothing else physically wrong with the steering system(see my previous post ^^^), then I know a remedy to get nearly equal steering to both sides. The problem is that the servo horn is too short, or if you wanna look at it the other way, the input arm on the bellcrank is too long. Being that the servo arm is shorter than the bellcrank arm, when the servo turns the wheels to the left, there is a point when the servo arm moves but does not move the bellcranks. Instead of the link moving farther forward, it is now moving to the right, and actually being pulled away from the center of the chassis. Makes sense? If it doesn't test it out on your Slash. What you need to do is set the servo horn a little off center. You do this by resetting the servo horn on the servo. The tab should be situated a little more towrads the rear of the car. In other words, the wheels should be pointing to the right. Then, what you need to do is adjust the link by lengthening it so that the wheels will be centered again. You will get equal steering but, you won't be able to get the wheels to lock with authority. Another fix, which I would recommend, would be to use a servo saver that is longer than the stock unit. Maybe one of the HD Kimbrough units, or the ones made for the AE Monster GT. Not the newest version. I haven't come around to doing this yet, so I haven't compared their lengths yet. I do prefer the AE savers because they are strong in unloading resistance than the Kimbrough units. Ace,turn the travel adjustment on your spectrum up to 150%.I also had the same problem with throttle. It would not get 100% power to the motor until I turner the throttle travel to 130% or higher. I have also had the servo centering problem. If you dont have a 2.4 that you can trim with....remove the servo saver, center all your adjustments with all power on,the adjust the tie rods to get the wheels straight.I just did it this morning and it worked great!
