As the title says I have a CC 5700 set up now and havent had a single battery pack run yet without having severe glitching. I had the guy at HobbyTown hook into the pc with a cord and check updates and all but still no go on solving the issue at hand. The problem exists not only at low speed punches but also at medium to high speed runs.
The truck acts like it is getting radio interference but I am baffled so far as to why it just started as the reciever and radio have performed flawlessly since day one.
Any advice?? I have searched for threads with this issue to no avail. So far Im dissappointed with the Castle but am willing to stick with it if theres hope to resolve the issue.
I can try to upload a video if possible .

I got one of theses sytems used and have had no problem with it in two vehicles
Is there any chance you have other radio gear to try just to rule that out
have you already checked the simple stuff like crystals and fresh batteries in the remote

fresh batterys in the radio, crystals are fine as I removed them and installed a like set just to eliminate that possibility.
I can place a fresh battery in the truck and set it on the ground with my foot in frt of the bumper and it acts just like a REAL car with a bad plug wire.........skipping and jumping without really even trying to move.
Im using a 8.4 7 cell battery NiMh I believe and have also tried a 6 cell 7.2 with same results. This thing should try to blow the tires away on take off but it hiccups and sputters no matter if 2 feet away or 40 feet.......even trys to turn on its own at times which suspects me to think its some type of radio issue........I dont want to have to buy a new radio and reciever just yet.

Can you hook it up with a castle link to a computer to check the settings
If I set mine on "stun" - advanced timing high voltage batteries no punch control, etc- I have had it stutter or hesitate

Well local HobbyTown guys are trying to help me out,but still nothing to say is fixed it yet. I can install all stock electronics back in and get prefect operation. I have swapped recievers, radios, crystals and more trying to eliminate the glitching and have been told servos for steering and battery types can cause these troubles. I am in the process of installing a battery pack to power my reciever ( 4 AA battery pack style) and eliminate the speed control using too much battery power possibly from the reciever.
Am I thinking right in this assumptuion??

i had a similar problem without the steering issue. it really depends on where you run. at my house it would do it in only one or two spots other places not at all. but the battery set-up should work, i added a capacitor to my receiver and that helped slightly. if it is cogging instead of glitching though it is probably a lack of power from your battery pack.

hey i had the same problem but i figured it out. check the wires going into the esc like the on off switch, then try to switch out the reciever. once i did that the glitching was gone. hope you find your problem.

Just a quick note, the CC systems seem to put out more RF interference, this causes a lot of glitching. Also, the bullet connectors from the motor to the ESC can get loose and cause glitching do to the arcing between connectors. But, for the most part it's the RF interference with the AM radio gear that gives most a headache.

UPDATE!!!
Well guys,I got a LiPo 4000 2s Integy and installed it after a charge.........still glitched HARD just like before. So again back to the steering servo theory.......swapped in an old stock Futaba I had and bingo no more glitch. I had swapped steering servos around already to no avail but I guess I found that the Futaba servo Im usin gthis time is the one to solve my issues.m now very proud of my Castle Sidewinder and the performance it has no wwith no glitch and also the new Lipo. I am gonna throw back in my 7 cell and just see what it does but can tell you now after 2 charged lipos run through it I now need new rear tires.
The truck with 16/90 gears will wheelie very easily on take off and also on a medium punch with a full punch 10-20 ft out. I am gonna experiment more on gear ratios as I tried a 23/86 anf the motor and controller were getting really hot.
So now ita off for some play time.
Thanks a TON for all the suggestions and all the help as the issue is finally fixed. Much appreciation for the local Hobby Town, local racers, forum members and also Castle tech line for not making me feel like a dummy and believing my problem did exist.........now I can go enjoy my New found power from the brushless and lipo.
