Well, seeing as I am new here, I will throw another option for a brushless setup into the mix. I bought my Slash brand new, and it was just too slow, so I started researching optinos for a brushless setup, and found a good CHEAP option. There is a company called eZRun that puts out a brushless ESC and motor. The ESC is a 16 way programmable ESC that can handle a 3 cell LIPO. The options for the brushless motors vary from an 18turn to a 5.5T motor. I bought a 9T motor and ESC combo and I gotta say it is amazing!!!! Talk abut some serious speed!!!!
Has anyone else tried running one of these? I had to detune mine to make it more controllable.

I haven't heard anything about them but more options is always a good thing. Let us know how it holds up.

I have never heard of them before. Seems like a descent system, but when Im buying something like a BL system, I like to know the company that I am buying it from. CC has the reputation and amazing customer support. You really cant beat it.

THis ESC motor combo has been doing great so far. No problems (besides owner stupidity). Dima

That setup doesn't look too bad. The problem I see from the pics is that if you want to throw in a 3S lipo pack it might fry the ESC. The ESC says right on it that it will only run 7.4v.

sorry for a doubl post here, but Flatty could you give a little mor einfo on this set up?? Im in the market already for brushless and since Im getting my sons involved with their own trucks it would be nice to not have to spend 125.00-175.00 for other brands if these work and get the job done.
Any info on these brushless setups appreciated.

looks good how about running a 8 cell nimh pack on it? Have you tried that yet i am looking for a brushless that is inexpensive & decent. what pinion gear and spur are you running with it?

In the response to the esc only runs 7.2V it also say only .12 Amp........these specs are for the cooling fan on the esc heat sink only!!! Looks like a good deal. I would buy one but I bought the traxxas system on a ebay store for 129 I think......still waiting for the mail to come though.....mail takes awhile to get to Iraq. I am not sure but I think there are only a few makers of brushless motors and they get relabled alot by the different companys like castle, novak and traxxas.
