i posted this in another forum and thought it would be more fitting here
i think i went a little overboard when i was designing and making the masks for this one. it took me the entire weekend to design and lay down the masks and about 1/2 of yesterday painting. kinda makes me not want to run the lid knowing all the time i put into it. all the paint was done w/ rattle cans no airbrush here. STRAIGHT BOMBIN!
i wanted to stick w/ the "traxxas" colors so i went w/ racing red in the front w/ a little metal flake just to make the red pop. black for the shading and some accents. then indy silver.
the graphics on the sides and hood is lined w/ outlaw black w/ some metal flake and filled in w/ chrome. the rear bars, grill, fans and shocks were also done in chrome.
"neXt" is my tag and the character on the hood is the design i use for sticker slapping
i just wish the sun was out today to bring out all the metal flake i used and to really make the chrome shine.
