Hey everyone. I am new to the RC world. I just bought a Slash. It is really awesome. I am ready to get into some mods. Not sure where to start. Right now it is all stock. I want to go faster and have more battery life time. I have a $40 battery. I guess that is where I need to start. can you guys help with a few upgrade ideas. Thanks alot.

We can help here too Battery is the heart of the truck. The better the pack, the better the truck will run. Ideal in the Slash seems to be a quality 7 cell Ni-MH pack or a 2s (2 cell) lipo pack. Personally Lipo is the way to go, but make sure you have a charger that can charge it.

But, upgrading your motor to a good 12T motor and getting some high mAh batteries will be a good start. I run 4000mAh Elite 8 cell packs in mine and I am really happy with them, even with the stock motor.

Thanks for some help. I guess I will start with the battery pack. Not sure which one just yet. This is getting to be an expensive addictive sport.
Thanks alot again. I look foward to learning much more here on this forum.

Yup it definatley is an expensive sport.
What kind of battery charger do you have ? That will limit your battery choices unless your willing to buy a new one.
