thanks man, here you go guys, I re made the flaps and made some chassis mud guards as I've seen vids where these things are full of it, the space between them and the body from the inside is like 1/2" or less, so, big chunks of mud aren't going to find their way in there, hope fully, I'll tested it out next time I hit the track. enjoy!

Good stuff there gearguy70. I really like your mudguard, but what did you make it out of because it doesn't look like lexan? And it would be neat to see some close-ups of your flaps and stuff.

Thanks, they are made out of .5 mm styrene sheet's cut about 2" high, and they are help by 4 bolts on each side, so it's removable and it's not damaging any components. I'll get some pics of the flaps when I get home, those are made from arts and crafts black foam, aluminum tape and some cheap metal rods for counter weight as the foam isn't heavy enough to stay down when hit by the rooster tail

its some threaded shaft I had laying around from home depot, go right ahead, I dunno if it works yet, but the flaps where a complete failure, when going in reverse, they got caught up and the slash's rear tires destroyed the whole thing, bent the shaft and broke the flaps, so, ths thing packs quite a punch.

I didn't have any problems while I was running it yesterday, it may be getting a bit hotter but I can't notice it unless I use a temp gun.
