Brushless racing is within your grasp with Novak’s Havoc Sport Sensored Brushless System. Though the sport system offers the same great features found in all Novak motors and speed controls, it exceeds expectations with its performance and unmatched affordability. The 540-sized motor is equipped with a sintered rotor for precise throttle response and resistance to high temperatures, and is sensored for low-speed driveability and consistent brakes. The Havoc Sport Brushless/Brush ESC contains one of the strongest BECs for sport applications and includes nine adjustable parameters to fine-tune brake and throttle response. Combined, the Havoc motor and speed control promote the fastest racing times for any comparable system. Also, its small footprint and low cost make it a perfect complement to Traxxas’® Slash Pro 2WD Short Course Truck™, HPI’s® E-Firestorm 2WD 1/10th Stadium Truck™, Kyosho’s® LAZER ZX-5 SP™ and other 1/10-scale off-road and on-road vehicles. In short, the Havoc Sport Sensored Brushless System is smaller, stronger, faster and, most importantly, the most inexpensive sensor-based system available.
WREAK HAVOC ABOVE 40 MPH
The Havoc System is the complete racing package. It’s the most affordable sensored system on the market, allowing for unmatched starting torque and continuous synchronization for smooth, controlled low-speed driveability. As if being sensored wasn’t enough, the Havoc boasts one of the highest top speeds for entry-level systems. Installed in a Traxxas® Slash™, the Havoc will reach speeds above 40 mph.* It provides longer run times than any stock brushed motor and meets ROAR specifications as well. The Havoc’s motor also features a shielded sensor cable and a completely rebuildable design, allowing for the ability to upgrade or replace various motor parts.
CUTTING EDGE CUSTOMIZATION
For those interested in fine tuning, the Havoc Sport ESC offers a simple interface, making the system completely programmable with vast customization opportunities. One parameter, in particular, is Novak’s new Throttle Curve that gives drivers the ability to experiment with two throttle responses – Linear and Expo – which range between a quick burst of power to a smoother, more controlled low-end power delivery. In addition, the Havoc’s Brake Frequency adjustment contains seven degrees of adjustability from a smooth and controllable brake to a more abrupt and grabbier feel. Moreover, Novak has also built into the ESC a Li-Po Cut-Off Circuitry feature, which prevents the batteries from going below the critical safety voltage level. For further racing opportunities, Novak installed a Reverse Disable feature to turn the Havoc into a forward-only brushless system for club-level racing.
MOTOR COMPATIBILITY
The Havoc ESC is factory wired to an 8.5-turn, sensored motor for the fastest possible speed. To boost run time, simply install a higher turn Novak SS Pro-Series Brushless Motor, which will double or possibly triple the run time of any RTR stock brushed motor setup. For ROAR spec class racing, simply install an SS10.5 Pro, SS13.5 Pro, SS17.5 Pro or SS21.5 Pro, making it one of the most inexpensive sport racing speed controls on the market.
