Was wondering if anyone has tried black chrome on a body ? I use to work at a place that made aluminum wheels for auto makers and i know who to do it on top of metal. But since you paint a body from inside out. I have searched and searched found nothing . I have an idea on how to maybe get the look, think ill try sometime on some practice plastic and see.
I know i can do it if i paint it on the outside , but i dont want it to scratch.

I think If you first sprayed some Tamiya smoke then used bright silver it would look really close to black chrome.

When we painted the wheels we would powder coat them black then spray a thin coat of satin silver to get the look, its just spraying on the inside of the body, im thinking to spray some silver lightly then black over then see what happens. im going to test it first to see.

Use a transparent black paint such as the SpazStix Window Tint paint and then back it with a chrome paint such as the SpazStix Mirror Chrome or the Alclad chrome. Then back that with a water based black, I usually use Fascolor black.
