So, I bought this JC Concepts Illuzion Rustler body from StormerHobbies.com. This is how it arrived to me. . Bent and creased and it looked like Big Bertha had sat on the box. It may be kinda hard to see and I apologize. Just curious if any of you have ever had this happen and if there is a way to try and fix it. If not, it's ok. I still plan on painting this body. Its going to be my first one I've ever painted, i just wish the canvas was in better shape

Been there, done that...... no way to fix it. Call whomever you bought it from and ask for a replacement, now, and most are good about getting one right out.

I've seen many a car part get broken by them even marked fragile. I have had decent luck with them, but some of the boxes I have received you had to wonder what war they went through. And they have lost one part on an item I shipped out good thing I took pics of the box and inside contents as I had though the way they treat things something might happen. Even though I did extra packing materials to prevent it, by th etime it got there it had about a 6" hole in the box and the rest wasn't in much better shape and it was abrand new box and I wrapped packaging tape around teh complete box so no cardboard was exposed.

When i tried to go back to the site, it wouldnt connect. how convienent, right? I could ask for a replacement, and then run the potential of getting another jacked up body. Its ok tho. The body is going to get messed up anyway, as most bodies do. I just wish it hadn't arrived to me already messed up. The damage done is really more the excess lexan then the real body area. the worst part of it is on the front of it. I can live with it. I'll just know never to order from the site i did; they didnt even give me an option of how i wanted it shipped. just charged me 12.95$ (over half of what the body cost) to ship it. They shipped it USPS, so who knows. Live and learn, right?

I would get a hold of them anyways and at least see what they can/will do for you. They might just ship you another one out no charge for anything and not even want that one back, and just tell you to keep it or pitch it odds are they will say the later but just use it anyways as practice and have a basher/practice body. I've had companys do this is in the past if teh value is worth more to send it back and reship it then to just send it out, or just a little more so the don't have to mess with all the odds and ends of sending it back, just write it off. And Stormer is big enough they might do this. If they wont and want you to pay shipping either way just tell them no thanks or you'll think about it and just never get back with them. Nothing to lose by trying and you might gain something by doing it.

I have always had good luck with Stormer Hobbies, I have ordered a bunch of stuff from them in the past. Give em a call, and see what you can do.

Bodies are sorta tough to ship -- the box is light, so it gets tossed around a lot, and since it doesn't have any bulk you have a lot of paper or peanuts. I've gotten all sorts of damaged ones through the mail, that's why I buy at the LHS if I can. Being as your in Korea I'd be extra carefull about "shipping options", or the lack there of, so you can click the insurance box - because stuff has to go through a lot of channels before it ever reaches your door. Give them a call, or email, and it's my guess they'll send you off another.

I E-mailed Stormer this morning before I went to work. They responded and said they'd hook me up with a new body. They also explained why the S&H was so high. Next time I'll just order more parts to take up space in the box. Thanks for your input, gents!
